Job
description:
1. Responsible for testing of products across OS platforms (e.g. Windows, Android, Mac, iOS) for various features.
2.Create/
Modify and Execute test cases based on the projects assigned
3.Scope
of work may include both manual and automated test activities.
4.Perform
Exploratory testing/Regression Testing/Stress Testing.
5.
Need to be a quick learner of product environments and configurations.
6.Identify,
isolate, interpret, and report defects, and work with developers to analyze
requirements, and reproduce problems to get them resolved.
7.
Hands-on skills on any scripting language like Perl, python, powershell or any
other programming language is preferred.
8.Should
be able to clearly Identify, isolate and report product defects and recommend
corrective actions where possible
9.Clearly
communicate the progress status.
10.Should
be a team player with excellent attitude towards owning the work
11.Good
understanding of testing methodologies and concepts.
12.Should
have Good Analytical skills to identify the root cause & Problem solving
ideas are required.
Scope
of Work at SW Test Engineer 1 :
1.Interactions
and contact with others are primarily internal with multiple teams and
departments within assigned function.
2.
Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions.
3.Knowledge
of test methodologies, QA process, and software release cycle.
4.Basic
proficiency in writing and executing test cases.
5.Good
knowledge of Operating Systems.
6.Exposure
to basics of Virtualization would be an added advantage.
7.Networking
- Must have a basic knowledge of of network components and infrastructure.
